Meet the Governors
Roderick Cameron (Chair of Governors)
I am the Chair of Governors, Chair of the Pay Committee and Chair of the Resources Committee. I have a background as a Solicitor, Communications Strategist and Business Growth Consultant. I work as Chief Strategy Officer of a regulatory technology business. When not "ferrying" my children, I can be found on a hockey pitch.
Thomas Barlow (Vice Chair / Co-opted Governor)
I am the Vice Chair of Governors and I sit on the Resources Committee. I am also a Merton Borough Councillor representing Wimbledon Village. I work as a Senior Policy Adviser on transport and infrastructure for a leading UK business membership organisation, having previously worked for Members of Parliament and a Peer in the House of Lords. I am also an (ir) regular participant at Wimbledon Common parkrun.
Ferdinand Doepel (Co-opted Governor)
I sit on the Teaching and Learning Committee. I teach Economics and Business in an independent school in South London. Apart from education I am also interested in sports (cycling in particular), travelling and reading.
Fiona Duffy (Headteacher)
I sit on the Resources, Personnel, Pay and Inclusion Committee.
Claire Fox (Co-opted Governor)
I am the Chair of the Safeguarding Committee and sit on the Personnel Committee. I have a background in strategic human resource management, but in line with my vision of a world where everyone has the opportunity to fulfill their potential I have left the corporate world to join Save the Children International where I led HR and Child Safeguarding globally. I am now the Chief People Officer for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in the UK. I can usually be found in a sports kit, whether playing with the children or training for running races or tennis matches.
Chad Horne (Parent Governor)
I sit on the Personnel and Pay Committee.
Caitriona Hurley (Co-opted Governor)
I sit on the Teaching and Learning and Inclusion Committee.
Emma Lemon (Parent Governor)
I am the Chair of Personnel Committee and sit on the Safeguarding and Pay Committee. I have a background as a research scientist, having gained my PhD many years ago now. I work as a consultant in the health sector heading up a Healthcare Communications team. In my spare time I play the classical Spanish guitar, enjoy baking and decorating cakes and sing in a choir.
Ben Leonard (Parent Governor)
I sit on the Teaching and Learning Committee and coordinate the Sustainability Working Group. My background is in banking but I now run a small technology firm helping people to buy their first home. We have three children, all of whom have been at Dundonald, and as a family we are big music fans and regular festival goers.
Ben McFarlane (Co-opted Governor)
I am the Chair of the Teaching and Learning Committee. I am a Professor of Law at University College London. I have spent my career in higher education and so have experience in teaching, assessment, and curriculum design. I enjoy playing and watching football, cricket and tennis, as well as the occasional quiz.
Dave Redmond (Parent Governor)
I am the Vice Chair of the Resources Committee and sit on the Pay Committee. I have two daughters at Dundonald Primary School. At the weekends I enjoy coaching girls' rugby, supporting Ireland at rugby and Spurs at football. I work locally as an energy commodities broker.
Sophie Russell (Staff Governor)
I am a Staff Governor and sit on the Teaching and Learning Committee and Inclusion Committee (for RRS only). I am in my fourth year of teaching at Dundonald and I lead the PSHE and Rights Respecting Team. I enjoy keeping fit, going to the theatre and spending time with my friends and family.
Delea Shand (Co-opted Governor)
I am the Vice Chair of the Teaching and Learning Committee. I work in the performing arts and have a Master degree in music, as well as a Bachelor's degree in English. I teach for Merton Music Foundation and believe all children should have access to high quality arts provision.
Rajesh Suseelan (Co-opted Governor)
I sit on the Resources Committee.
