Friday 19 December 2025 UNICEF Gold Rights Respecting Award reaccreditation We are delighted to announce our reaccreditation of the Gold UNICEF Rights Respecting Award. We are really proud of the staff, children and parents who all contributed to the reaccreditation process. Thank to the whole school community for your support and special mention to Ms Butler who co-ordinated our reaccreditation supported by Ms Boyall.

Thursday 18 December 2025 Year 6 Come Dine with Me Over the past three weeks, Year 6 have taken part in our very own Come Dine with Me competition. Each team was divided into three sub-teams who were responsible for a course each. The 'hero' ingredients were: parsnips for starters, sweet potatoes for main course and apples for dessert.

Thursday 13 November 2025 Year 6 Eagles Class DT Project Year 6's Design and Technology project for this term was to design and make their own waistcoats. Eagles Class have now finished their designs and are proud to share them with you.

Thursday 16 October 2025 Year 4 Trip to Kew Gardens Year 4 went to Kew Gardens this week for a Rainforest workshop to consolidate the Geography topic for this term, and they all had an absolute blast! They learned lots about the types of plants in the rainforest and the ways these can be used. We also got to experience the climate of a tropical rainforest whilst exploring the Palm House. We saw banana plants, oil palm plants and so much more!

Friday 9 May 2025 V.E Day Letters For V.E. Day in year 6 we looked at some letters from the Imperial War Museum archives from soldiers to their families. We looked at a couple of letters from soldiers to their children and the children in Year 6 wrote replies.

Friday 4 April 2025 Easter Eggshibition 2025 The week before Easter has been jam-packed with PTA events, a highlight of which was the Eggshibition eggstravaganza which has wowed us this week with originality, imagination and creativity. We also have lots of photos on our gallery page.

Friday 4 April 2025 Year 5 Trip To Hampton Court This week we visited Hampton Court Palace. We learnt lots of new facts about Queen Elizabeth 1 and King Henry VIII. We also discovered what valuable goods the Tudors imported from foreign countries and ow much they were worth. Did you know that only royals and courtiers tasted spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves? Potatoes were a new specialty and a rarity! We had a fantastic lunch in the sunshine and played in the Magic Garden. At the end of our trip, we received delicious chocolate Easter bunnies as a reward for finding the hidden golden bunnies. What a fantastic trip!

Wednesday 2 April 2025 Year 2 Trip to Brooklands Museum Year 2 went to Brooklands this week to look at planes and different types of transport for our History topic. We even got to go on some buses that were 60 and 80 years old. We saw a Concord and lots of different planes in the aircraft factory. We all had a fantastic time!

Friday 14 March 2025 Rights Respecting School Council News The winners of our Playground Charter and Whole School Charter have been selected. Thank you to all of the children who submitted their designs to our competition - there were some fantastic entries from across the school. Huge congratulations to Seoyoon in 6B for designing the winning entry for the Playground Charter and to Hayoon in 4E for designing the Whole School Charter. These will be officially launched in the Summer Term.

Monday 10 March 2025 MSSP Y5/6 Netball Borough Championships On 28th February our year 5 and 6 netball team put in a fantastic performance at the MSSP Netball Borough Championships, showing incredible improvement throughout the day. Against touch competition they displayed resilience, teamwork and determination, securing a commendable 9th place finish out of the 16 teams in all of Merton. A special highlight was winning the RefSpect Award, recognising their outstanding sportsmanship and respect on the court - an achievement to be proud of. Well done, team!

Friday 7 March 2025 World Book Day 2025 This week everyone dressed up as their favourite book character for World Book Day. It was a fantastic celebration of reading at Dundonald, when we enjoyed a special parade in assembly and shared photos of children reading in interesting places. There were some very unusual and fun locations!

Friday 7 February 2025 Young Voices Worldwide Choir We were delighted to take part in Young Voices Worldwide singalong to celebrate Bob Marley's 80th birthday on Thursday this week. We linked up live to Machester where the main co-ordinating event was held.

Friday 31 January 2025 4C Geography Fieldtrip 4C went on our Geography fieldwork trip around Wimbledon this week. We identified the different types of land use we could see. We took pictures of these. We discussed why there were shops, roads and other modes of transport in particulare areas. We then thought about what features we would add or change if we were Mayor of Wimbledon. Here are some of the future Mayors of Wimbledon and their ideas:

Thursday 19 December 2024 Inter-house Art Competition Results We are delighted to announce the results of our Inter-house Art Competition. This year the theme was 'Planet Earth', and we were thrilled to see the incredible talent and creativity displayed by all the students. The artwork was nothing short of amazing, and choosing the winners was no easy task.

Friday 22 November 2024 Girls' Football Success We are thrilled tp announce that our girls' football team has emerged as champions in this year's tournament! The competition was fierce, with teams displaying incredible skill and sportsmanship, but our team stood out with their determination and teamwork.

Friday 22 November 2024 Kindness at Dundonald As part of our ongoing behaviour project at Dundonald this month we have been focusing on Kindness, specifically small acts of kindness, good manners, greetings and holding doors for people. We see lots of example of kindness around the school every day and are encouraging more positive behaviour thorugh discussions with pupils in class and assemblies.
Sensory Room update
Darcey in Year 6 recently raised £875 through a sponsored swim. She donated this to the school so we could buy new resources for our Sensory room. Today she 'opened' our room and spent some time with her sisters Isla and Poppy exploring the new resources.
