Year 5/6 Football Tournament

On 18th October our talented Year 5 and year 6 football team took part in the highly anticipated MSSP Borough Football Championships. Competing against 34 schools from across the borough, our teams displayed outstanding skill, teamwork and determination throughout the tournament.

The day was filled with exciting moments, and our players rose to the challenge with sharp passes from Benjamin and Caleb, solid defense with the likes of James, Fred and SEan, and impressive goals from Seb and Nicolas up front. After a series of intense matches, we are thrilled to announce that our teams finished in second place in the overall competition! An incredible effort from Benas Helped us secure wins in two penalty shootouts in the quarter and semi-final, with 'Alisson Becker' like reflexes. This is a fantastic achievement, and I couldn't be prouder of the team.

Their hard work and dedication were evident in every game, and they also exemplified excellent sportsmanship, showing respect and camaraderie both on and off the pitch. Securing second place is a testament to their commitment and teamwork.

The players should be incredibly proud of their achievement. Well done to everyone involved.
