Year 5 Trip To Hampton Court

This week we visited Hampton Court Palace. We learnt lots of new facts about Queen Elizabeth 1 and King Henry VIII. We also discovered what valuable goods the Tudors imported from foreign countries and ow much they were worth. Did you know that only royals and courtiers tasted spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves? Potatoes were a new specialty and a rarity! We had a fantastic lunch in the sunshine and played in the Magic Garden. At the end of our trip, we received delicious chocolate Easter bunnies as a reward for finding the hidden golden bunnies. What a fantastic trip!
